Insisting only &#8220;your&#8221; holiday be acknowledged, as a matter of right, is an unacceptable demonstration of high-handed privilege.<\/p>\n<p>Wishing America was more homogeneous, and that minorities were invisible or of no consequence, is not going to bring back the 1950&#8217;s. \u00a0We have moved on as a culture and the tide of minority demographics won&#8217;t abate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/etbscreenwriting.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/kwanzaa11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-9863 size-thumbnail lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/etbscreenwriting.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/kwanzaa11-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/etbscreenwriting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/kwanzaa11-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/etbscreenwriting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/kwanzaa11-180x180.jpg 180w, https:\/\/etbscreenwriting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/kwanzaa11-300x300.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 150px; give some acknowledgement that others celebrate in a variety of different ways.<\/p>\n<p>The (usually) Angry White Male insisting on Merry Christmas is the frustrated cry of someone not willing\u00a0to share the toys. \u00a0Which is antithetical to what Christmas is really about in the first place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>#MondayMusings &#8211;
